Dr. William I. Bensinger, MD is a worldwide known physician for his expertise in blood disorders such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, using treatments including autologous stem cell transplantation, targeted radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Dr. Bensinger has been a practicing physician, Aviation Medical Examiner and private pilot for 40+ years. 

Prior to scheduling an appointment each FAA medical applicant must go to : https://medxpress.faa.gov/  (click link) and fill out the FAA medical application form and obtain a confirmation number. A printed copy of the form plus confirmation number must accompany you when you arrive for your FAA medical examination.

If the applicant has any physical, vision or hearing impairments and/or chronic medical conditions that could interfere with the safe operation and piloting of the aircraft these must be discussed with Dr. Bensinger prior to scheduling your appointment. 

Attention Female Pilots and Applicants ; Dr. Bensinger does not employ a full time nurse assistant or staff. Please feel free to invite a friend or chaperone to accompany you during your aviation medical exam if this is a concern.

- EKG addl. $80 charge

- The  FAA has recently mandated a special color vision test for all new applicants and for pilots who taking certain medications that can affect color vision such as Viagra. If required this test is an additional $60 charge.
